Line a Carton with a Gusseted Poly Bag

How to Line a Carton with a Gusseted Poly Bag

Take the actual dimensions of the carton. For example, 20" ( width) x 12" ( depth) x 20" ( length). Add approximately 4" to either the width or depth for a looser fit. For the length, add all of the depth to the carton length and then add several inches to this total, depending on how much overlap is needed.

To line the sample carton:

Width = 20" + 4" = 24"
Depth = 12"
Length = 20" + 12" + 4" = 36"

BAG SIZE = 24" x 12" x 36"

How to Fit a Square Container with a Gusseted Poly Bag

Take the actual dimensions of the box. For Example, 20” (width) x 12” (depth) x 20” (length). Add 1”-2” to the width and depth of the box. For the length, add the depth to the height of the box plus 6” to allow coverage of the box contents.

To fit a square container:

Width = 20” + 2” = 22”

Depth = 12” + 2” = 14”

Length = 20” + 12” + 6” = 38”

BAG SIZE = 22” x 14” x 38”
